On November 25, 2025, the Village of Prairie du Sac Village Board appropriated funds for the following streets and utility projects for the 2026 year:
Industrial Park Resurfacing
This project includes pulverizing and resurfacing 15th Street, 17th Street, and North Street within the Prairie du Sac Industrial Park. Funding includes a $500,000 federal grant administered through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. A Public Involvement Meeting was held on March 6, 2025. The estimated project cost is $869,000.
Grand Avenue Reconstruction
This project involves reconstructing Grand Avenue from Lueders Road to 15th Street. Work will include installing new storm sewer, replacing the water main and services, completing spot sanitary sewer repairs, and adding new sidewalk on both sides of the street. The estimated project cost is $749,000.
5th Street Reconstruction
This project includes full reconstruction of 5th Street from Oak Street to Grand Avenue. Planned work includes spot sidewalk replacement on the west side, new sidewalk on the east side, water main and service replacement, storm sewer improvements and extensions, and minor sanitary sewer repairs. The estimated project cost is $996,000.
It is anticipated that construction would take place from spring of 2026 to fall of 2026, subject to change.
Public Involvement Meeting
A Public Involvement Meeting (PIM) for the Grand Avenue and 5th Street projects will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 335 Galena Street. A PIM for the Industrial Park project was held on March 6, 2025.
