PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Plan Commission and Extraterritorial Zoning Committee of the Village of Prairie du Sac (the “Village”) will hold a joint public hearing on February 3, 2025, commencing at 6:30 p.m. at the Village of Prairie du Sac Village Hall located at 335 Galena Street, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578. The purpose of the public hearing is to allow all interested parties to be heard concerning proposed amendments to the Village’s Zoning Ordinance as they apply to lands in the Village and its Extraterritorial Zoning Jurisdiction.
The proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments focus on clarifying the timeframes that prior zoning approvals remain valid after subsequent Ordinance amendments may otherwise affect them; updating regulations for tourist rooming houses, beds and breakfasts, and other commercial lodging; no longer allowing tourist rooming houses in the R-R Rural Residential zoning district; and disallowing sales or services performed from a vehicle or other mobile unit except on a temporary basis.
Any interested person may review or obtain copies of the proposed amendments at the Village Hall, 335 Galena Street, Prairie du Sac, WI and below.
