Public Hearing - Sauk Prairie Shared Ride Taxi Fares

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village Board of the Village of Prairie du Sac, WI, shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 P.M., on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Prairie du Sac Village Hall, 335 Galena Street, to receive public comments on the following:

Village of Prairie du Sac, in collaboration with the Village of Sauk City, receives funds from the Federal Transit Administration Section 5311 Rural Public Transit Assistance program and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Section 85.20 Transit Assistance program to assist in funding the shared-ride taxi program operated in the two communities.  The Village is considering changes to the Fare Schedule to become effective on January 1, 2025.  The state and federal funding sources require the program to offer the public the opportunity for input on these fare changes.  

The following Sauk Prairie Shared-Ride Taxi rates are proposed for an effective date of January 1, 2025:

Adult Fare - $4.75

Elderly(60+)/Disabled/Student - $3.25

Additional Rider - $2.25

Agency Fare - $9.25

Package Delivery - $9.25

Out of Service Area Mileage Rate - $3.50 per mile

Agency Fares are paid by agencies for an individual through another funding source.
 

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and be heard.  After the public hearing, the Village Board will consider the proposed rate schedule.  Any person who has a qualifying disability, as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act, who requires the meeting or materials at the meeting to be in an accessible location or format must contact the Village Administrator at (608) 643-2421, 335 Galena Street, Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting so that any necessary arrangements can be made to accommodate each request.
