Economic Development Grant

The primary goal of the economic development grant is the development and retention of local businesses within the Village of Prairie du Sac. Economic Development Grants may only be distributed to local government agencies, the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce, the Sauk County Economic Development Corporation, Sauk Prairie School District or non-profit organizations.  Non-profit organizations must be recognized as having 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.  Individuals, for profit organizations or businesses are not eligible for funding.  Awards in one calendar year to any one recipient shall be limited to an amount not to exceed the lesser of $5,000 or the grant amount available that has not already been allocated. Economic Development Grant Application and Guidelines

Tax Incremental Financial (TIF)

The TIF process allows a municipality to pay for public improvements and other eligible costs within a designated area, called a Tax Incremental District (TID), using future taxes collected on the TID's increased property value to repay the cost of the improvements.
